Professor Andrew Chang is a vitreoretinal surgeon and ophthalmologist. Dr. Chang holds academic appointments as a Conjoint Professor Department of Surgery at UNSW and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Sydney.

Dr. Chang is a Consultant Vitreoretinal Surgeon and Head of Ophthalmology at the Sydney Eye Hospital. He is the Medical Director of Sydney Retina Clinic.

Graduating from the University of Sydney Medical School, Dr. Chang underwent ophthalmology training at the Sydney Eye Hospital and fellowship training at Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital and in the United States. He was awarded a Ph.D. for research into retinal and choroidal angiography performed at the Universities of California and Sydney.

Dr. Chang’s commitment to international ophthalmology includes the Secretary-General of the Asia-Pacific Vitreoretinal Society (APVRS) and Deputy Secretary-General of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO). He is a clinician advisor to the Department of Health Australia and to the TGA on new technologies in Ophthalmology.  He is Chair of the Board of the Sydney Eye Hospital Foundation Board. Professional awards include the 2022 Tano Lecture of the APVRS, the Achievement Award and Distinguished Service Award of the Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) & the RANZCO Excellence in Teaching Award. In 2023, his contributions to ophthalmology and retinal surgery were acknowledged in being awarded the Member of the Order of Australia.

Dr. Chang is enthusiastically involved in basic science & clinical trials research, receiving research grant funding in Australia and the USA. His research is extensively published in peer-reviewed scientific literature. He serves on the editorial boards of scientific peer-reviewed journals including Clinical & Experimental Ophthalmology.

In wider healthcare activities, Dr. Chang is engaged in the complexities of modern hospital healthcare delivery. He supports new medical drugs & devices by engaging in clinical trial development. He drives strategies to improve patient engagement with healthcare professionals, using the latest in cloud, IoT & Artificial Intelligence.

Dr Robert Lin is a highly qualified healthcare executive with over 20 years of clinical and managerial experience.

As a healthcare professional who is passionate about advancing medical facilities, treatments, and patient-centric care, Dr Lin has extensive experience in managing private, public, and international hospitals and other facilities. His expertise in this area spans strategic planning, improving operational efficiency, team building, and project management.

Dr Lin is also a specialist in Greenfield and Brownfield health facility development, procurement, contract and tender negotiation, licensing, accreditation, and commissioning. Over the years, his expertise has helped drive healthcare development projects of up to $200 million.

With a commitment to sharing his knowledge and skills to enhance healthcare in the community, Dr Lin has been Chairman of the NSW Radiation Therapist Research Group and Clinical Specialist Director of the Australian Medical Radiation Sciences Accreditation Council. He also served as a member of the expert panel of the Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group and the lung cancer reference group for Cancer Australia.

Dr Lin’s professional insights are widely published, and he is a reviewer and invited author of the Journal of Medical Radiation Sciences.

As someone who drives positive development in the healthcare industry, Dr Lin believes that optimal outcomes and improved patient experiences are best achieved through understanding difficult concepts, turning ideas into logical strategies, and implementing appropriate systems.

Dr Thomas Hong has over 20 years’ experience in large epidemiological and clinical research across a range of ophthalmic conditions and over 10 years of management roles in clinical and research.
 
Thomas is also widely published in peer-reviewed journals, and scientific reviewer for international journals. and regularly presents at local and international conferences receiving several grants and awards. His passion for research led him to develop a clinical research network of research sites conducting trials in Ophthalmology to further the reach of Ophthalmic research.

Ipsa has 18 years of experience in the Clinical Research industry and brings a wealth of knowledge from both the innovator pharmaceutical companies and CRO industry. Ipsa currently leads GreenLight Clinical’s Technical Service function, comprising Data Management, Biostatistics, Stats Programming, and Medical Writing. Ipsa works closely with sponsors and other functional heads to ensure cross-functional collaboration delivers projects with high quality, speed, and within agreed timelines.

Ipsa was previously an Associate Director, Data Operations at Novartis, India, with a brief stint in North America, where she led a big team of data managers and programmers, driving innovation and process improvement projects, along with the studies. Being a data custodian, she has successfully managed to deliver studies under multiple therapeutic areas, and has experience working with multiple EDCs. Consistently exceeding expectations, Ipsa was inducted into the Young Leaders Program, preparing her for future leadership roles. In Australia, Ipsa has worked with Peter Mac, CSL Behring, and Novotech.
